Hi, I’m Blue, a Chocolate Labrador born in Britain and now living in America. I’m a stay-at-home dog looking after my human, Julia. She used to work in a blah 9-5 job, but a few years ago she fell in love with web development and hasn’t looked back since. We live in a small town, so there aren’t many local jobs for web developers (the closest is over an hour away). Rather than being away from me all day long, she decided to start her own business (JTDigitalMedia, LLC) as a freelance WordPress Web Developer.

The business has really taken off recently and she’s loving it so much she wanted to start this blog to provide support, advice and help for other folks who might want to learn a new tech skill, work from home and start their own business.

One of the best parts about Julia’s business is that she can work from anywhere (so long as there is an internet connection)! We love adventures, so her line of work is ideal for us because she’s her own boss and we can travel whenever we want! Don’t get me wrong, she works a lot (sometimes too much), but now that the business is up-and-running and she has a solid client base, her work-life-dog-balance is much more acceptable.
